Highvale Trail, Topanga, California

In late March 1968, the Family moved to a house at the top of Summit Trail and Highvale Trail in Topanga Canyon.  At this time, Phil Kaufman and Harold True first came to visit.  On April 1, 1968, Mary Brunner gave birth to Michael "Pooh Bear" in a house on Summit Trail.  That night, Sandy Good first met the Family and spent time with Charlie along Highvale.  This was also the location that Paul Watkins first met the Family.  The group, which numbered around 20, moved out in early April 1968.
