2002 Updates and NewsThe following were updates and news items during 2002. DECEMBER UPDATES: Miscellaneous updates to the alias list, books, and video pages. Several new additions to the music page. DECEMBER NEWS: A company has started manufacturing Manson action figures. Recently, Manson was allowed to receive a guitar. Visit 4A4R.com for details. NOVEMBER UPDATES: Great thanks to Tim Mizell for a recent photo of the original door from the Sharon Tate house. We've also received some photos taken by Shahrokh Hatami of Sharon at Cielo Drive. Also, we've made various updates, additions and revisions to the alias list. NOVEMBER NEWS: This isn't hot breaking news but will probably be new to most readers. While doing some research I discovered that Al Springer passed away May 21, 2000 in Yuba County, California at age 56. Funding apparently fell through for Don Murphy's movie version of "The Family." Read it here. OCTOBER NEWS: Kenneth Como has been moved from the federal prison in South Carolina back to Long Beach, CA for release on December 28. Ken was involved in the Hawthorne robbery/shootout and sentenced to 15 years to life. He was also married to Catherine "Gypsy" Share for several years. He may best be remembered for escaping from the thirteenth floor of jail on a rope made of bedsheets and being picked up by Sandy Good who then wrecked the get-away van. (see January News above). Also, Manson was recently scheduled for a newspaper interview but ran into problems at the last minute. Read about it from a first-hand witness here. SEPTEMBER NEWS: Pat Krenwinkel just got a puppy. No kidding! Click here. You might want to check out a Krenwinkel story from March 2002, also. Click here. And a special thanks to one of our site visitors for pointing out a new article about Dennis Rice that even has a recent photo. Click here. NEW DVD RELEASE: "Charles Manson: Superstar" NEW BOOKS: "Charles Manson: Music, Mayhem, Murder" by Tommy Udo. Adam Gorightly has released "The Shadow Over Santa Susana." Also, an Italian language book, "Figli dei Fiori, figli di Satana," which is described in the Books foreign language section. |
