2006 Updates and News
The following were updates and news items during 2006.
DECEMBER NEWS: The Charles
Manson episode of "Our
Generation" will be re-broadcast on December 3 at 8:30 AM
(eastern time) on The History Channel. It includes a great new
interview with Catherine "Gypsy" Share (and a "thanks" to me
in the closing credits). Click here
for a couple of photos from
the day of Catherine's interview. Great thanks to Catherine for
sharing these photos of her first return to the Spahn Movie Ranch
site since 1971!
DECEMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Merry Christmas from CharlieManson.Com!
If
you order Phil Kaufman's autobiography, "Road
Mangler Deluxe" direct from him, he'll autograph it.
Plus, it will help with his medical bills.
NOVEMBER NEWS: Dennis Rice
recently had new copies of his booklet, "Free Indeed," printed.
It runs nearly 50 pages and is available through his website for a
donation of $10.00 or more. Donations help his ministry to send
free copies to inmates.

Bruce Davis
was denied parole on Monday, November 20. Apparently, Debra Tate
and Barbara Hoyt (hey, Barbara, drop me an e-mail!) both testified.
The History
Channel show, "Our
Generation," will air the Manson Family episode on December 1
at 7:00pm. Be sure to tune in!
Charles
Manson turned 72 years old on November 12. A bit of trivia:
On the same day, Gerald Ford became the
oldest living former president, surpassing Ronald Reagan's
previous record. On November 12, Ford became 93 years, 3 months
and 29 days old. Ford, of course, was the president that Lynette
"Squeaky" Fromme allegedly attempted to assassinate. It seems
somewhat ironic that Ford broke the record on Manson's birthday.
NOVEMBER UPDATES: I've been
contacted by the current owner of the property at
7008 Woodrow Wilson Drive. It
seems the current house is not the one that Lotsapoppa Crowe lived in.
The house that occupies the site today was built in 1987. You
can confirm this and see additional information at
Zillow.com. So, yet another location that has been
demolished...
OCTOBER NEWS: Bruce Davis
had another
parole hearing on October 17. Debra Tate made some
statements outside of the hearing. I believe this is the first
time she's shown an interest in the Davis hearings. I'll post
results as soon as I know.
I'm awaiting word on when the Manson episode of "Our Generation" (The
History Channel) will air. It doesn't appear to be on the
schedule for October. I can confirm that they did interview
Catherine "Gypsy" Share, though. I believe they interviewed
Vincent Bugliosi, too.
It can now be
revealed. On Halloween night, Robert Hendrickson will broadcast
his "Manson" documentary on his website for free! Read about it
here. There was a bit of talk about some possible bonus
material but I'm not sure if that's definite yet. Either way, if
you've never seen "Manson" then you'll absolutely want to set aside
some time. It has never been legally released on DVD and hasn't
been available on video tape in about twenty years.
SEPTEMBER NEWS: On Halloween
night, MANSON will be seen 'round the world...
Leslie Van Houten was denied parole on September 7. She is eligible for
another hearing in one year.
Click here for the news story. Note the same
news story mentions that Bruce Davis' hearing last month ended
with the two-member board split on whether to parole or not. Now
the entire board will meet to decide.
SEPTEMBER UPDATES: I've
received many great photos from Greg
King which I'm beginning to upload. Please note this is not
the Greg King that wrote "Sharon
Tate and the Manson Murders."
AUGUST NEWS: Although
unrelated to the Manson case, the site of another famous crime is for
sale. The Clutter house ("In
Cold Blood") is on the market.
Click here to view the real estate listing. Under the photo
is a link that will take you to some very nice
interior shots.
I previously
mentioned an upcoming book by Vincent Bugliosi. I'm sorry to
announce that my information was incorrect and the topic will NOT be
Manson. I previously mentioned an announcement coming on October
1. This will be delayed but I'll post the information as soon as
I'm allowed. There is still something rumored for Halloween
night, though. I'll leave everybody wondering about it for the
time being.
Watch for a new film called "The
Devil Exists" about the Manson Family.
There is a new book entitled "Sinister
Forces: The Manson Secret." It sounds like some sort of
conspiracy theory.
Also, thanks to a reader who pointed out a fictional book related to the Manson case entitled "Skelter."
I've been
helping the History Channel with an episode for a new show to
be called "Our Generation." The tentative broadcast date
is October 19. I connected them with Catherine Share who has
agreed to do an interview for the show. Others are still under
consideration. I have also been told that Vincent Bugliosi will
be doing an interview. Each episode of the series will focus on
a major event of the 1960s and 1970s.
Dennis Rice's
website has added a nice
piece written by Catherine "Gypsy" Share!
AUGUST UPDATES: I added a
page a while back but I think I forgot to mention it. It's a
work in progress (like everything else on this site) but includes a
few links to some incredible aerial photos on the
Windows Live Local website.
JULY NEWS: Dennis Rice's
website has added the third
and final part of Bruce Davis' Christian testimony. Keep an eye
out for another very special addition coming soon (see August News
section above)!
Bailiff Rusty
Burrell passed away April 15. Rusty served as bailiff in trials
for Charles Manson and Patty Hearst, but he is probably best known for
his television career. Following his 1981 retirement for law
enforcement he took up the same bailiff position on "The People's
Court" with former judge Joseph Wapner. After that show went off
the air the pair worked on "Judge Wapner's Animal Court."
Click here. Thanks greatly to Ronnie Dannelley for the news
tip.
JUNE NEWS: Judge Charles
Older, who presided over the most famous of the Manson trials, has
passed away.
MAY NEWS:
Manson2Jesus now has part
one of Bruce Davis' Christian testimony.
APRIL NEWS: Former LAPD
Chief of Police, Edward Davis, has
passed away. In the Manson case, he is possibly best known
for announcing the solution of the murders on
December 1, 1969.
APRIL UPDATES: Thanks
greatly to John Goddman for pointing out the incredible Windows Live
Local website. I've set up a new page of links to
Manson-related sites on Live.
This is
currently just in a testing phase but I've put a message forum back
online. You can find it at
CharlieManson.Net.
Yes, that's "net" rather than "com." That domain had become
available and I thought the "net" suffix seemed more fitting to a
message board, so I registered it. Depending on how things go, I
have a couple of other ideas for the "net" site.
Online video sites are really taking off. Of course Manson
footage wasn't far behind. I've added a new page of
Manson online video links.
APRIL NEWS: There are a
couple of updates at
Manson2Jesus. One is the April newsletter and the other is a
new writing by Bruce Davis.
MARCH NEWS: I'm pleased to
announce the opening of Dennis Rice's website for his prison ministry.
Dennis registered the name over two years ago and finally decided it
was time to put something online. Click below to visit:

MARCH UPDATES:
I've added a
nice set of photos by Ronnie B. Check out the
2005 Spahn Movie Ranch fire and the
San Fernando Sears where Mary Brunner and Sandra Good were
arrested. Also, Ronnie contributed photos of
George Spahn's grave, the
former site of the Yellow Submarine
and the Canoga Island Village
apartments.
MARCH NEWS: An alternate
nude photo of Lynette Fromme and Sandy Good has appeared. The
owner sent me a scan a while back and is now offering the original in
an
eBay auction. (Note CharlieManson.Com is not involved in
this auction in any way).
Check out this nice video of
Barker Ranch
by James Bierman.
Also be sure to check out this video of the Beach Boys performing "Never
Learn Not to Love" (which was written by Manson).
And a little bit of the Manson interview on "Biography."
And another
interview.
Be sure to catch the hilarious Manson appearance on "The
Apprentice."
for the Manson interview on the "Today Show."
FEBRUARY ANNOUNCEMENTS: I
have a very interesting announcement! Dennis Rice has authorized
CharlieManson.Com to display photos of his original Manson Family
vest. For the serious collector, Dennis is offering the vest in
exchange for a donation to his Christian ministry.
Click here to see various photos along
with Dennis' story and affidavit.

JANUARY UPDATES: Great
thanks to Aaron Bredlau for transcribing the "Geraldo"
interview!
JANUARY ANNOUNCEMENTS: I
haven't forgotten about the message board! Although I've moved
the website to a new host, I'm still undecided about how to handle the
forum. It appears they put a bit of a load on the server when
they're busy, so I'm looking at hosting it elsewhere.
The website has now moved to a new host. I hope it works out
better than the last! For the moment, the message board and chat
room are not available. Please watch for future announcements.
Thank you!
Happy
New Year! For those new to the website, this main page will grow
